Searching YouTube for "adjust intonation on a strat/tele/les paul/floyd rose" (adjust search based on your guitar and bridge type) will come back with plenty of video resources for you to follow. Is it showing the same note as it did when open? Is it close to +/- 0 still? If it is, then your intonation is ok, if it isn't - you can fix it with a bit of time and usually, little more than a screwdriver. Now fret that same string at the 12th fret and pluck the string again and look at the tuner. Tune the open string to be as close to +/- 0 as you can manage. Quick way to check, open up the pause menu and look at the tuner in the lower left corner (don't use the before a song tuner for this). If the bot is posting this message, then someone thinks that your Intonation may be off. Do some male jacks just not go the whole way in some electric guitars, or is this a sign that something is up with my RTC or the female port on my electric guitar? I haven't used this RTC that much at all, and I'm pretty sure I got it new last year along with this guitar, so it'd be really odd if either of them are experiencing issues like this already.

I'm not sure if this has any significance at all onto the quality of the sound going to the PS4, but I thought I should mention it. The RTC does give when pushed into my guitar and continues to go until the guitar itself hits the plastic jacket of the RTC, but once that force is released it pops itself back out to where you can see that ~1mm of metal sticking out. There's is a tiny amount of metal sticking out from the guitar that's visible (like a millimeter or less), while the male to male jack that came bundled with my electric guitar goes completely in with literally no metal sticking out of the guitar. Is this a sign that my RTC is broken in some way, or my guitar, or the game itself? Or am I just overreacting and it being unable to recognize what note I play something I should just get used to?Īlso, the RTC male jack doesn't completely fit into my electric guitar. The game has had very few issues recognizing any other notes I would play and telling me when I'm on the right or wrong fret, so it was odd for a handful of specific notes to cause so much trouble. I was, it just kept stating I was on the wrong fret or note during the lesson. I'm still learning the basics of guitar, and I checked over and over to make sure that I was holding down the right chord and fret. Today I was playing a lesson and it absolutely refused to recognize I was playing the note that requires holding down the 11th fret of the G String (not sure what note that is). A handful of of the higher frets on the E String and some random frets on the G String will rarely be recognized by the game as the right fret.

I don't use any external audio interface, just the RTC straight from the electric guitar to the USB port in the PS4 Pro I use.įor some reason, the game will have a difficult time recognizing a handful of specific notes I play. I have Rocksmith on PS4 (although I'm considering getting it on Steam since it's on sale) and use the RealTone Cable. Hi, I'm new to this subreddit but did some hunting to see if anyone had made a post explaining similar issues to mine, but couldn't find any. Rocksmith Note Guide (aka what is this symbol?)
